Ulrike Kolb, as writer, was influenced not only by the political events of the 1960s and 70s, but also gradual insights into the National Socialist past, as well as encounters with friends she met in various places in Germany and Israel all left their mark on her. Modern art and literature repeatedly provide her with orientation, help her discovering her own point of view. She has longings and dreams, nevertheless she is troubled by fears and self-doubt. Along with a mother with severe psychotic episodes – a blend of tragedy and comedy.
