How did your grandfather eat his apple? Do you remember how he held the knife in his hand? Do we do it differently today?
This book is a gift: the memory of eating an apple is a story about the labour of writing itself. From the skin through the flesh to the core, the flavour of this text is Teresa Präauer’s literature in a nutshell.
The speech was given at the award ceremony for prestigious ›Bremer Literaturpreis‹ in January 2024. It is supplemented with a previously unpublished original text by the author.
Teresa Präauer, born in 1979, studied German Philology and Fine Arts.
